Directory Opus 5 Magellan version 5.65 release notes 28rd August 1997
Changes to Opus Magellan manual for version 5.65
It was found that Opus (in Use Workbench Icon Positions mode) did
not set the dd_CurrentX and dd_CurrentY fields of the DrawerData
structure when snapshotting directories. This ordinarily didn't
cause a problem, as Opus doesn't look at these fields at all. If
you had a drawer icon that somehow had these fields set to
strange values, and snapshotted it in Opus, these fields would
not be set correctly. If you then loaded that drawer under
Workbench, it would not look the same as it did under Opus
(because Workbench uses these fields).
Opus now sets the fields correctly when you snapshot a directory
- it uses the current position of the scroll bars, as Workbench
does. However, Opus still doesn't use these fields (whenever you
open a new icon mode lister in Opus, the position of the
scrollers is always 0,0).
There was an obscure problem that revealed itself if you had the
'Perform all actions on icons...' flag turned on. If you ran the
Copy command (and possibly other commands like Move as well) with
any of its arguments (eg NEWER, QUIET, etc), Opus would get the
source and destination directories confused.
Fixed several small problems and a larger one in the AFC
(Automatic Filetype Creator and FileFileType) which could cause a
crash if you edited a newly created filetype.
Dragging and dropping a file onto a button bank to automatically
create a function now encloses the filename in quotes if there
are spaces in it.
If you had a >256 colour backdrop picture set in DOpus (and were
using v43 picture.datatype), in some circumstances the picture
would be corrupted when DOpus loaded the first time after a
reset.
Changes made to device list routines to fix crashes some people
reported when removing/inserting disks. This was finally traced
to users with AmigsOS 39.26 which had bugs in the device list
locking commands. A number of these changes also improved
compatibility with 3rd party device drivers such as AmiTCP NFS
mounted volumes, IDEFix, FRexx:, AmiFileSafe and others.
Icons added with "dopus addappicon" weren't being remapped if
they were NewIcons.
DOpus now adds commands in DOpus5:Commands to the internal
function list.
The 'Format' option was unavailable in the popup menu for bad
disk icons.
The resizeable configuration windows (Scripts, etc) could lock up
if you resized them before the window refresh had finished.
